Pandemic

Wednesday. March 11, 2020.

Pandemic. Pure insanity.

This is for the record: In November of 2019, Chinese virologists announced a vicious SARS-like disease caused by a Coronavirus pathogen dubbed COVID-19 had spread deep inside the population center of Wuhan. The origins are as of yet not clear, but preliminary reports suggest it started from people eating contaminated bat meat from a wet market. Nobody is entirely sure. Fast forward to late January and the virus made its way into the United States. Government thought it would be contained, but it spread fast and hard.

At roughly 2 PM, a wire was sent from the SUNY network: the college system will shut down all campuses starting at the end of Spring Break to reduce student and staff exposure to potential infection. We will be going online effective this Friday.

Everyone is losing their minds, trying to figure out what to do and how to go forward. My biggest concern is how Paige and I are going to finish this project? I have no clue. We will figure this out in the coming hours.

Those who are reading this should take the time to make any arrangements with their instructors with getting situated with online classwork. I know I will be in a serious bind without a computer.

We shall see.
