The hump is getting closer, and the models have shifted for the better; while the numbers are indeed climbing for total infected and dead per day, the rate is starting to slow much more than what was anticipated. Nationwide, we are now liking at nearly 68,000 deaths by the time August starts, with close to 2 million infections. It’s a considerably better projection that what it was back at the end of March, but we still need to lose tens of thousands before we can be sure.
Social distancing: A term that might have existed long ago but never used by the public at large. Government mandate, or something close to it, to keep at least six feet away from people in the public, and to always wear a mask and sterile gloves.
Now we have some truly surreal video from NYC of a mass grave being filled with the caskets of unclaimed victims. Things have to get much worse before they get any better.
The state is still closed.
